Miracles do happen

Do you believe in "Miracles" ?
Some of you might wrinkle your nose on reading the word, while some of you might raise your eyebrows and say "Yeah I do believe!"
So, for all those who believe in Miracles, I am sharing my true story which made me believe in this simple yet powerful word - Miracle. And for those who are still wrinkling their nose, please read this story and who knows you might start believing in it.

It happened three years back, I was trying to sleep but could not. I just kept staring at ceiling lying on my bed. Some issues related to my studies kept me wide awake. My bed was just bellow ceiling fan and somehow unknowingly I kept staring at fan and its movement. It was some kind of "Deja vu", I believe. And all of sudden, my fan made some cranky noise and in no time it started falling down. I let out a frantic cry as I knew this was the end.

But all of sudden something happened and fan stopped right above my face....barely few inches apart. I didn’t know what happen and how it stopped. With wide eyes, I kept staring at the fan. Within no time, my parents came rushing in my room and switched on the lights. We discovered that the fan which was still hanging in mid air, few inches apart from my face, was hanging on a small wire. Indeed the wire kept the fan from falling  right on me. The wire was stretched to its max and it was surprising how a small wire can hold such heavy weight.

It is miracle to me and I do believe it was god’s hand which stopped this accident. I don’t even want to think what would be my condition, if that wire wasn’t there. Probably my body would have got millions of cuts from the fast moving fan.

All I have to say is miracles do happen, but we only believe it when it happens to us and our loved ones.
So, again the question remains "Do you believe in miracles?"

What do you want to do before you die?

Yesterday night out of boredom, I decided to watch a movie. I picked “Anjaana Anjaani” (no specific reason, just that I haven’t seen it before).
One question, asked in a movie, grabbed my attention – “What do you want to do before you die?
Well, it made me think and I realised that I don’t have my ‘Things to do before I die’ list ready with me. I grabbed a piece of paper and pen and jotted down few wishes.

- World Tour
- Sky Diving
- Deep water diving (now that I know how to swim :D)
- Do snow ball fights.

And the list is endless, however my life is not! (Ek zindagi hazaar kaam, kind of thing).
Being a facebook addict, I asked this question to the people on my friend list and I got very interesting answers and not to mention loads of answers in the comment box.
Different people, different wishes. However, one thing is common among us – endless wishes!

When I was jotting down my ‘Things to do before I die list’, a thought crossed my mind.
“What if these wishes are not fulfilled?” I wondered.
Obviously, I will end up being unhappy and disappointed.
As an immediate reaction, I gave a big cross mark on the list and tossed the paper in the dustbin. One thing I learned out of this – Why not just live life as it comes? Why to waste my time in making endless wishes and worrying about them.

What do you think? Living with a pre-planned life is good OR living a life planned by god is better?

Pets on Facebook

Off late there is lot of news of people creating their pet’s facebook accounts. I mean what for? Do dogs and cats really need a facebook account?
That’s ridiculous… I don’t find any reason to create my pet’s accounts. She is happy eating, playing and sleeping. Why to make her life complicated? :P

Well, but many people thinks making their pets account would make them famous. Different people different perspective…

Anyways that’s not what the post is about. Yesterday a thought hit me.
What if all the pets have the facebook account and they actually update it all by themselves?
Here now my imaginations are wild. Just have a look what they might update on facebook.

What’s on your mind?

Roxy(a Border Collie): Guess What? I am going for walk with my master and his girlfriend. And I have heard that his girlfriend has a beautiful young French poodle ;)

Comment from Bull Dog: Hey take some snaps and upload on facebook.
Comment from German Shephard: Nyaah!! I don’t like poodles… they are too arrogant.

Bruno(Black Labrador): Guys, I saw a beautiful female lab in the park today. And what more? She wagged her tail looking at me.

Comments: NO NO Don’t fall for it!! They always do this and later growls at you when you go near!! Coming from an experienced German shepherd.
Comments: Ahh go for it buddy!! Roff roff

Mandy( a Pomeranian pup): Today I again peed on the bed… For fun :D

Comments from fellow pups: Well done!!
Comment from elder dogs: Bad Dog!! Is there any dislike button?

Boxy(a Boxer): I caught my reflection in mirror… Still wondering why my nose is so small
Comments from fellow Boxers: Ahh!! I am wondering the same.
Comment from Dobberman: Hey ask your master to pull your nose daily. May b it helps!!

Coco( a Chihuahua): Any ideas where I can hide a bone?

Comment from fellow dogs: I dunno…try Farmville :P

So this might be an interesting situation. Right? However, the reality is that they can’t update on their own and thus don’t need a facebook account.

Just a random post…Sorry if I have hurt anyone’s sentiment.

Rising from scratch

Well this is my new blog, just two days old. I had 54 followers in my old blog and loads of genuine readers. What happened to my old blog? It is a very sad story…lets not go into details.

The other day when I tried accessing my blog, it was not there…(Lets not get into it, why and how). I was upset and devastated. All the data, all my posts and all my readers were gone just in no time…

So I asked myself “What now?” I got mails from my readers and readers turned friends, saying that we are not able to access your blog anymore. They were equally sad as I was. That moment was enough for me to decide “No problem, I will start a new one.

A fresh start is what I did with this blog. All those readers which I lost, some came back and supported me and if I have more good matter to share, more will soon come and join me. I trust myself.

Well all this experience was different for me. Before this incident I felt blogs are for sharing, following and commenting. But soon I realize it is beyond that. I realize blogs are also for bonding. Bonding with your readers and bonding with other writers.

So from all this experience I felt like Phoenix.
Phoenix - a mythical bird who rises again from his own ashes.

A beautiful quote from Anne Baxter :

It's best to have failure happen early in life.

It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.

Have you come across any situation in your life, where you felt in same way- rising from scrap?

Just Kidding!!!!

My friends and I were on a trip to riverside when I saw one of my friend throwing pebbles in pond. I could tell from her face that she was enjoying this childish act. I could not stop asking her what was so interesting about this.

Here, take this and try yourself”, she gave me one small pebble.
I laughed seeing that pebble and thought “What am I doing” but just for sake I threw it in water without any enthusiasm. Obviously it didn’t go too far.

Come on, you can do better. Put some energy and throw it far” teased my friend.
I picked small pebble lying on the ground nearby. This time with little interest.
AND Splashhhhh!!! It jumped two times on water and went far enough from first one.

Third pebble
Fourth pebble
Fifth!!
And on and on….I was in game....
I felt like I am throwing my frustration and worries in water far away from me. We laugh when someone around us start acting childish but once we try the same we know how much refreshing and rejuvenating it is. There is child in all of us, sitting quietly in one corner of our heart and impatiently waiting to get release and enjoy. This incident helped me setting lose a child inside me. Now most of time I am kid more than adult. Feels good.....

Met the right one yet?

She was talking nonstop about random stuffs and he was looking at her, thinking about something.
Why are you looking at me like that?” she enquired.
Uh nothing, I was just thinking” he replied.
About what?” she questioned.
He took her hand in his and asked her “Why didn’t we met earlier?I wasted 20 years of my life without you”.
God wanted us to meet few wrong people before we met right one. This is how we realized that we are made for each other”, she replied as a matter of fact.
Meeting her eyes he said “Now that we met the right one, I wish we get blessed with long life. I have already wasted so many days without you. Now I want to live every moment of my life with you”.

Her First glance

It was raining heavily that night. I my cellphone network was down. I saw a telephone booth on the other side of the road. “I should call dad, he must be waiting for my call”, I thought. I ran towards the telephone booth in the heavy rain. Dailed my father’s number...his phone was ringing.

I glanced outside on the main road, it was clear, no traffic at all. And then a white car stopped on main road. A young girl got down from the car. Nearby some kids were enjoying the rain...jumping, dancing and playing in the heavy shower. She was enjoying their dance standing in heavy rain. And then all of a sudden she took off her sandle and joined them. Like a kid she freed herself, jumped and danced enjoying the rain… I was just staring at her, as if something struck me.

Hello…Hello…”, I heard my dad’s voice coming from phone

I was not able to take my eyes off her. She looked so beautiful dancing in the rain. So pure, so elegant...

Dad, It’s me, Delhi from Maddy”, like an idiot I jumbled words. But I was too busy and engrossed in the scene.

Hello Maddy…Hello...you there?”, my dad recognized my voice.

I was bewitched and then I knew she was the one I was waiting for

Dad, I saw her”, I said to my dad on phone.

Who???”, my dad was confused on my funny statement.

My kind of girl”, I confessed to him.

And then she moved towards her car ready to go...

Dad she is going….going” I felt like losing her...
