Can Jan LokPal Bill remove 100% corruption from India?

When I asked one of my close friend “What is your take on Anna Hazare’s arrest?”
He said “I am least interested”.
I was shocked by his answer and reacted immediately by saying “Not expected this answer from you!”
So, he cross questioned me “Can Jan Lokpal Bill remove 100% corruption from India?”

This blog post is dedicated to all those people, who think that Jan lokpal bill and the movement India against corruption is none of their business. So, back to the million dollar question - Can Jan Lokpal Bill remove 100% corruption from India?
NO, Jan Lokpal bill will not remove 100% corruption from India. However, it will eradicate 60-65% corruption (as stated by Anna Hazare in one of his interviews).

Now what are you thinking? “What’s the use of supporting such movement which will only remove 65% of corruption? We want India to be 100% free from corruption. If this happens then I will support, otherwise I am happy sitting at home watching a movie.”

Don’t you think Something is better than nothing? The Jan Lokpal bill will make a strong law and promises to punish the bribe takers and corrupt people. So, when this bill is passed, all the suspects will be checked and punished if proved guilty.
In future, a person who takes bribe will think twice before they perform such act. (This proves that Jan Lokpal Bill has a power to stop the further growth of corruption).

So, when Janlokpal Bill has power to remove 65% of corruption from India, the rest 35% is in our hand.
How?
1. Don’t pay bribe. (Because this is against law. Once u pay bribe, you are supporting corruption.)
2. Don’t take bribe. (Because once you are caught, you will undergo strong enquiry and quick punishment. Fear Jan Lokpal bill)

Very true! Expecting 100% from everything and everyone is not only impossible, but ridiculous as well. We can't expect 100% removal of corruption, but we can do our part. It's very easy to criticize the bill sitting at home - supporting needs courage and will to fight for your own rights!

very well said Ankita...I hope all Indians join their hands without keeping any doubt in their minds.

finding out positivity in every thing is the only way to live happy, so if it eradicates 65% then lets look this figure in a positive way and support it.

If Janlokpal Bill has a potential of removing corruption upto some extent, I'm with it. But my only question is what is the guarantee that it will also not fall prey of undemocratic governments? We already had a lot of agencies and laws with the same intention which respective and respected governments mould to suit their needs.

Chanced upon this blog post. The Lokpal bill is basically irrelevant at this stage, without more fundamental reforms. The Freedom Team of India's position makes it very clear: http://freedomteam.in/blog/content/the-position-of-the-freedom-team-of-india-on-the-jan-lokpal-bill

Politicians should not be allowed to spend any penny on elections either from their pocket or party funds for any kind of advertisements because the Indian public have no sense to judge a politician due to lack of education and knowledge, politicians should meet people individually to convince them if they are good or bad.Buying votes is not a democracy at all, If rich people are buying votes it is imperialism and the public is SLAVE
